Creating an API key on ByBit allows users to access advanced features and automate trading strategies. ByBit, a popular cryptocurrency exchange, offers a straightforward process to generate an API key.
With this key, users can connect their own applications, trading bots, or other platforms to interact with their ByBit account. Following are a few simple steps, using which you can create your ByBit API key, customize permissions, and enhance trading experience on the platform.
Note:
The creation of API key can only be done via PC/website, there is no option to do it via Bybit APP.
Step 1. Login to your ByBit account and click the human icon on the top right corner of your Dashboard. Go to "Account & Settings then click "API Management".
Step 2. Click on 'Create New Key'.
Step 3. You will see two options for APi Key Type, choose "System-generated API Keys".
Step 4. On this page choose "API Transaction", set name for the API Key as "ByBit". For API Key Permissions choose " Read-Write", "No IP Restrictions". Now check all boxes except the "Wallet" Options and click "Submit".
Step 5. For security verification click "Send verification code". You will receive a code on your registered email which you have to type here and also add "Google 2FA Code" which you can get using "Google Authenticator App" from the PlayStore.
Step 6. After adding both codes click "Confirm".
Step 7. Your "API Key" and "API Secret" is created. Don't click "Understood: or close this window before completing the next step.
Step 8. Now login to your TM account and on the Dashboard click "Goto API Page".
Step 9. Now select your desired exchange, Add API Key, Add API Secret. Passphrase field should be left blank, then click "Save". That's It, You are now connected to our platform.
